Our coaches are products of the National Coaching Certification Program. This program has produced qualified coaches to many sports, including the sport of diving. The coaching staff has been trained in teaching the skills of diving in a safe manner, while providing a positive atmosphere for the divers.All of the coaches of the Regina Diving Club are dedicated to ensuring that all of the divers receive quality instruction in the sport of diving. They strive to ensure that all athletes learn to love the sport of diving, while benefiting from a fun and safe environment. All of the coaches working with the Regina Diving Club have spent time as athletes in the program. Their skills as divers are direct products of the time that they spent in the club, starting with the Learn to Dive program.

Laura Lunn-Desautels is the Head Coach of the Regina Diving Club and the High Performance Coach – South for Dive Sask. Laura is a Level 3 coach who has been coaching in Regina over the previous year. Laura began as a gymnast and moved into the Regina Diving Club in her early/pre teens. She was a member of the Canadian National Diving Team before accepting divingscholarships at Nebraska University, then Virginia Tech.Laura has a Bachelor of Science with a major in Sociology, minor in Psychology, then furthered to attain her Masters in Sport Management and Masters in Athletic Coaching Education. She coached the West Virginia University’s Diving team for the 3 years before she moved back to Regina. She is also certified as a personal trainer.
Jana Klein is the assistant coach of the Regina Diving Club. Jana has been a valuable member of the Regina Diving Club for 15 years, both as a diver and a coach. Jana began diving at the age of 10 after being a competitive level gymnast. Over her seven years as a diver, Jana was a two time Junior National medalist and a two time CanAmMex medalist, one of which was a gold. Jana began coaching while attending university. Over her eight years of coaching, she has coached all groups from the Learn to Dive to the Competitive levels. Currently, Jana is coaching the Provincial level divers and the Junior National level divers.
Jill Price is an assistant coach of the Regina Diving Club. She began her diving career when she was 5 years old and pursued her career for 8 years. During her diving career she attended three Junior National Competitions and several international competitions. Jill is a qualified competitive introductory coach and has been coaching for the Regina Diving Club for the past 5 years. Jill began coaching Learn to Dive in high school and is now a fourth year Psychology student at the University of Regina and coaching the Tumble Bugs, Water Beetles, and Provincial level divers. Recently, Jill was awarded the 2010 Developmental Coach of the Year by Dive Sask.
